We are so happy to announce that we just introduce

We are so happy to announce that we just introduced CultureCIVIC program in Turkey to the press today.

Aiming to support CSOs, artists, initiatives and activists in Turkey’s arts and culture sector, CultureCIVIC begins on June 30, 2021.

Initiated by Goethe-Institut Istanbul, Anadolu Kültür, Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), Institut français de Turquie and Danish Cultural Institute in Turkey, and in collaboration with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Turkey, CultureCIVIC is a European Union project that aims to foster civil society involvement in the field of arts and culture.

With a goal to reach beyond the major cultural hubs of Turkey, the programme targets individuals and institutions nationwide with 14 open calls in four different need-based grant categories, and expects to fund over 200 projects by March 2025.

59 journalists from different media covering whole Turkey attended
the meeting and asked many wise questions. Thanks to our project partners!

Journey To Hope" monument opened today in İstanbu

Journey To Hope" monument opened today in İstanbul Kadıköy to tribute the Turkish guest workers who travelled to Europe for better lives with their suitcases full of hopes!

Danish Cultural Institute is partner for the cultural program to mark the contribution of guest workers to Europe since 1960s. The Dutch Embassy and Consulate in Turkey, , İstanbul Municipality and Federation of Democratic Social Associations (DSDF) initiated the idea.

The monument consists of a bronze statue of the archetypal Turk with a suitcase in his hand, behind which are wooden panels in which his silhouette fades.

STREET ART IN KADIKÖY İSTANBUL
Kadıköy Municipality started a street art Mural-İst Festival some years and since many international and Turkish graffiti artists changed the walls of Kadıköy and Yeldeğirmeni to art exhibitions. Danish Cultural Institute Turkey will be partner at Directed By Women Festival here during September 2021.
